Why use brown sugar in your sugar cookie recipe?
When you swap out the white sugar for brown in your cookie recipe, some amazing things happen! The brown sugar adds richness and that delicious molasses flavor. Brown sugar makes for a denser and moister cookie, so these won’t dry up and get hard on your cookie platter! They also freeze really well.
You could serve these brown sugar cookies just as is, but since it is Christmas time, more is more, right? The addition of nutella frosting makes these even better. My kids love helping frosting and decorating these cookies. You could swap out the sprinkles for any color and make these any time of the year. A nutella frosted cookie always hits the spot!
