Cranberry Feta Pinwheels

November 12, 2019

Cranberry Feta Pinwheels are a little sweet, a little salty, and definitely delicious! You and your guests will love this easy appetizer recipe that is perfect for taking to holiday parties.

Cranberry Feta Pinwheels

Over the last few years, these Cranberry Feta Pinwheels have been making their rounds around the Internet. And while I have seen a ton of different versions, this version is my mom’s, and she has been making them for as long as I can remember- definitely pre-Pinterest Days! She first made them for a church function almost 20 years ago, and they quickly became a favorite! I love that they are make ahead and are red, green, and white, so they look extra festive during this time of the year!

Easy appetizer recipe for a holiday party

Now if you don’t love feta cheese, you won’t love these pinwheels. And if you do love feta cheese like I do, then you will definitely fall in love with these little guys after just one bite! Super tangy feta cheese gets slightly sweetened by the cran-raisins, and the green onion adds just a little bite! I love to make these with spinach tortillas to make them even more festive, but you could use plain or even whole wheat!

How to make pinwheel appetizers?

Holiday entertaining shouldn’t be stressful, so start saving these easy recipes now! You definitely can’t go wrong with these Cranberry Feta Pinwheels! This recipe is honestly fool-proof and the only crucial step is that you refrigerate for at least one hour. This allows the flavors to meld together and for the cream cheese mixture to “glue” the roll together. If you cut these too soon, they will unwrap. You can definitely refrigerate them longer, but I wouldn’t let them sit overnight.

Love the recipe! Why can you not make the pinwheels and wrap and leave overnight and then slice the next day?

You certainly could, but I think they get slightly soggy, but definitely still good!
