Cheddar Bacon Garlic Crostini
- 1 baguette sliced in 3/4 inch slices
- 3 heaping tbsp mayonnaise
- 4 oz. cream cheese softened
- 1 cup of shredded mild cheddar cheese shred it yourself, do not buy the pre-shredded
- 8 slices of bacon cooked crisp and then crumbled
- 4 green onions diced into small pieces
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 tsp. seasoned salt
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
- a pinch of pepper
- 2 garlic cloves minced
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, worchestershire sauce, cheddar cheese, green onions, and bacon. Stir well to combine. Add seasoned salt, garlic powder, and pepper and stir again. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
When ready to serve, preheat oven to 400 degrees. Place bread slices on a baking sheet. In a small sauce pan, add olive oil and garlic. Cook over low heat until garlic is fragrant. Brush garlic oil onto the tops of each slice of bread. Place in the oven and cook for 3-4 minutes, or until bread is golden brown.
Remove bread from the oven and place on your cutting board. Spread a heaping tablespoon of dip mixture onto each bread piece. Garnish with additional onions, cheese, and bacon. Serve immediately.
