Cake Batter M&M Cookies are one of my absolute favorite cookie recipes. I love everything about these cookies. The flavor, the texture, and the ease! I love cooking from scratch, but when it comes to baking, I always take short cuts. Cake mix cookies are one of my favorite baking hacks. They minimize the amount of ingredients you need and the results are a super soft and flavorful cookie.
I have been thinking up sweet treats for my daughter’s Valentine’s Day party at school, and I thought that throwing festive Valentine’s Day M&M’s into my favorite cake batter flavored cookies would be a great idea. Andddd I was right! The crunchy chocolates add a great texture and flavor to these already delicious cookies!
While these cookies make a great Valentine’s Day dessert, you can substitute any type of M&M and they would be seasonally appropriate! These would be great for a Christmas cookie, too! And with the super wide variety of M&M’s, you could find ones to go with just about any holiday!

How to make Cake Batter M&M Cookies
Cake Batter M & M Cookies
A perfect sweet treat for any time of the year, these easy cake mix cookies are studded with M & M's!
Ingredients
- 1 box vanilla cake mix
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 2 eggs
- 1/3 cup canola oil
- 1 1/2 cups M&M's
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line two baking sheets with non-stick mats or parchment paper.

In a mixing bowl, combine cake mix and baking powder. In another bowl, combine eggs, vanilla, and oil.

Add wet ingredients into the dry and stir well until all cake mix is wet and no dry pockets remain.

Gently fold in M&Ms.

Drop two tablespoon rounded spoonfuls onto baking sheet about 2 inches apart.

Bake for 9-10 minutes. Cookies should not brown at all.

Remove from oven and let sit on baking sheet for at least 5 minutes before removing to a cooling rack.

Store in an airtight container for up to one week.
