Stuffed BBQ Bacon Burgers are everything that burger dreams are made of. We love grilling burgers in the summer time in our house and I am always trying to come up with ways to mix up the classic burger recipe. I have been experimenting with putting more flavor into the actual burger meat and this combination of bacon and zesty bbq sauce is a great mixture!
My little girl loves bacon, we even had a bacon themed 2nd birthday party for her, so I am always adding bacon to our meals one way or another. While I love topping out burgers with bacon, the addition of bacon directly into the meat adds flavor and juiciest from the fat. It gives your burgers just that something extra that will make it stand out from a basic burger! If you are having guests over, they will love this extra special touch!

Have you ever mixed Italian dressing and BBQ sauce? It creates an incredibly flavorful combination that I love to use for dipping chicken and topping pork. To make the zesty sauce for this recipe you’ll need Hunt’s Hickory Pepper BBQ Sauce, Wishbone Italian Dressing, and Gulden’s Spicy Mustard. Mix the three of those up and stir some in the meat and save some for topping the burger and you have the most delicious, juiciest bacon cheeseburger ever! Don’t forget to top it with some Vlasic Pickles, too! Hunt’s has a few BBQ sauce flavors but the Hickory Pepper is my favorite! It is the right amount of smoky flavor and is made with quality ingredients. This thick and rich sauce is perfect for dipping, topping, and pouring!
What type of beef to use for hamburgers?
I prefer to use 85/15 grass fed ground beef to make hamburgers. You can certainly use a fattier meat, such as 80/20, but then you will have more grease to deal with. I would not use anything leaner than 90 percent of your burgers will dry out.
