Stuffed Bacon Cheeseburgers
Are you holding on to the last weeks of summer? Nothing says sweet summertime like stuffed burgers on the grill! I can’t stop won’t stop on the burgers this summer. Just recently I shared my BBQ Bacon Burgers and now I’m back with another burger recipe, these Stuffed Bacon Cheeseburgers.

Perhaps I’ll share a light and healthy burger recipe again soon, but…probably not 🙂 In the mean time, you can make my low fat zucchini turkey burgers.

Can you make your stuffed burger with ground turkey?
A stuffed burger or meatball is always more interesting than a plain ol’ burger recipe. You can use a lower percentage lean ground beef and still get a juicy burger because the bacon and cheese add fat to your meat mixture. You could even use ground turkey or ground chicken to make your inside out burgers a little healthier!
Bacon and cheddar are an obvious choice for an inside out burger recipe but you can add whatever you’d like, ham or prosciutto would have the same effect and add some delicious saltiness as well!

How to make stuffed burgers?
Stuffed burgers are one of my favorite things to make! I love using this Cuisinart CSBP-100 3-in-1 Stuffed Burger Press from Amazon. I just mix our fillings into the ground beef. Some of the cheese will seep out, but those parts get crispy on the grill and are even more delicious!
Alternately, you could also form a well in the middle of the burger, put the fillings there, and then cover with additional meat. Either way is delicious but I like having the fillings stud the burgers and be all throughout!

What is the best way to cook a burger?
While we love burgers year round and make them inside on a cast iron grill pan, (I love this one or this one from Amazon), burgers are truly the best on an outdoor grill.
We recently have been using our Cuisinart Flat Top Griddle and they turn out so juicy and delicious! You can use a charcoal grill or gas grill too with the same delicious result! Don’t forget to throw your bun on the grill during the last few minutes of cook time to make it nice and toasty!

These Stuffed Bacon Cheeseburgers are a great way to serve burgers in the summer! You will love the juiciness and flavor of this amazing burger recipe!
