You know what really annoys me? Cords. I hate when cords are everywhere. Not only are they an eye sore, but they are laying there, just asking for toddlers to touch them. When cords are laying around, there’s no stopping a little one from playing with them, no matter how many times you tell them no.
So these cords in our living room were driving me bonkers.
These cords are the chargers for our Ipad, Iphones, and the lamp is connected in there too.
I knew I had to organize this somehow. Inspired by the Bajan Texan, I went to HomeGoods in search of of a decorative box. I was ecstatic when I found one on the clearance section for $2.00!! I brought it home and cut a hole with an exacto knife in the back.
I ran the cords threw the hole and then just laid all the chargers in the box.
Now my table looks like this!! No more cords dangling!
When I want to charge my phone, I just pull the cord out and set my phone on the box! Perfect! Can’t beat that for two dollars!
I love it so much that I went back to HomeGoods and bought another box for our bedroom! Can’t wait to see how that one turns out!
OMG this is great! So glad I could inspire you! What an honor! 🙂
That was the best idea!! I’m so glad I saw your post on it!

Thank you for following me!!
Now if only there were a way to make the toddler extension cord protector thing that actually HANGS in between our TV and outlet look so unobtrusive!
Toddlers will find anything, no matter how hidden or unobstrusive, unfortunately!
Ahhh yes-cords are such baby/toddler magnets! This idea is BRILLIANT. What a bonus that the pretty box was only 2 bucks. Thanks for sharing with Pin Your Friday Favorite!
What a great idea!!! Thanks for sharing this on DIY Sunday Showcase! I’m pinning this to our talent board!

Thanks Kimberly! I hate cords too and always worry they are too enticing for small little kid hands to grab!
