Easy Cranberry Crostini Recipe
Appetizers for Thanksgiving can be tough. You know that dinner will be the main event, but you also need some snacks to put out for your hungry guests while everything is finishing up. Nothing is worse than hungry guests with no snacks to munch on! I love serving crostini because it is so easy to prepare and everyone loves bread.
What is crostini?
In Italian, crostini means little toasts. So typically, a crostini recipe is thin slices of bread, toasted or grilled, and then topped with some sort of spread. Crostini is so versatile and there are so many ways to serve it! Make it hearty and add steak like in my Steak and Arugula Crostini. Or add tons of flavor in my Garlic Cheddar Bacon Crostini. You could keep it simple and just toast the bread and set out a bruschetta mixture, so many options with crostini!
What to do with leftover cranberry sauce?
Another idea for this cranberry crostini is to serve it with leftover cranberry sauce from Thanksgiving! If you have a lot leftover, toast up some bread and use your leftovers in this repurposed recipe. I don’t love having a lot of leftovers (I know I know, I’m weird) so reinventing them into a new dish is one of my favorite things to do. Set this out for your family as a light snack or dinner after Thanksgiving and your cranberry sauce won’t go to waste!

Since this recipe uses so few ingredients, the flavors really get to shine! I absolutely love the honey butter mixture. It adds sweetness to the tart cranberry sauce and the cream cheese adds a delicious texture and creaminess to the dish. I recommend using good bread for this recipe. You want to pick up a good french baguette from the bakery or local grocery store.
