Our Main Bathroom Remodel and the Jeffrey Court Renovation Challenge Week 3!

Week One

Week Two

This week’s post will be short and sweet. I have been sick so I didn’t get as much done this week as I had hoped. I am excited to share a few details with you though!

Guy’s, I’m all done with this painting business. Painting really old oak trim that’s six inches thick is no joke. I used Sherwin Williams Pure White to “prime” the trim because it is what I had on hand. I would have normally picked up primer, but I want to use up some of the 100 paint cans I have in the basement!

Once primed, I used White Dove to paint the trim. It is a soft creamy white, and matches the bead board.

So here’s where we are so far. Walls painted, bead board painted, new lights and new vanity (we already had the vanity in the house, but I am not loving the color now that it is installed in this space.)  I really think it needs to be painted. I am really torn on a dark gray or a dark blue! I had hoped to get it done this past weekend, but I could not stop coughing, so didn’t think breathing in paint fumes would be helpful!

I’m leaning toward dark gray as I think this dark gray vanity from DecoPad is gorgeous.

I picked up some new fluffy towels from Target this week! They are reasonably priced and so soft!

I love all the color choices too and think I am going to pick up a couple more, including this adorable gray patterned hand towel!

Here are the lights we purchased from Amazon. My husband said they were really easy to install and I think they look high end, for a super low price! While I am not normally drawn to black finishes, I love how they really ground a room and add some dimension to an otherwise light colored room. The lights are inspiring me to add lots more black! I am going to grab a can of spray paint and paint our toilet paper holder and towel bar!

I need to pick up a bathroom carpet and a shower curtain this week. I am hoping to find something simple and classy. Here is a tile reminder in case you missed last week! I need a neutral rug that is going to add softness, but not compete with the tile pattern!

We are almost ready to start the big changes!! The tub is coming out and the shower is going in and of course, the beautiful marble tile will be going on the floors! We are waiting till the end for that, due to some scheduling conflicts, but I cannot wait to see how that turns out!
