Ingredients

  • 1 lb brussel sprouts
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese grated
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 tbsp honey optional but recommended
  • pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400F and set aside a sheet pan lined with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.

  2. Clean the brussel sprouts by removing the stem and the outer leaves and then cut in half.

  3. Cook in salted water for 5 minutes and drain (note 1)
  4. Mix with the olive oil and salt and add pepper to taste.

  5. Spread the brussel sprouts evenly on the sheet pan - cut side down - and sprinkle the parmesan cheese evenly over the sprouts.

  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes until soft and golden brown.

  7. Drizzle honey over the sprouts, toss and serve

Recipe Notes

Note 1: you can omit this step by cooking them longer in the oven, about 5-10 minutes. In that case add the parmesan cheese after 10 minutes.
