Cookies and Cream Cheesecake DipCookies and Cream Cheesecake Dip is a must make for winter. I love everything about this time of the year and I look forward to it every year. There is really nothing better than sipping a hot drink and watching Christmas movies beside the glow of the Christmas tree. Once November 1st roles around, I do my best to watch as many Christmas movies as possible! Is anyone else as addicted to those cheesy, but so endearing movies? A great Christmas night for me is being home, in my jammies, with a good snack, watching the Hallmark Channel. But since this is also the season of entertaining and parties, I have to change out of pjs sometimes and be social. And of course one of the best parts of holiday entertaining is the food!

Cookies and Cream Cheesecake Dip

It is always nice to offer to bring something whenever you are invited to a holiday party. I always try to have some recipe ideas on hand that are easy portable for this reason. Some of my favorite appetizers and party foods just don’t travel well. I love taking dips with me to parties because they are easy to transport. Even easier are cold dips, that don’t require a slow cooker or any reheating. This Cookies and Cream Cheesecake Dip is the ultimate dessert dip to take to a party. It is easy, can be served at room temperature, and requires minimal ingredients! And don’t forget a Hallmark card for the hostess thanking them for the invite!

Cookies and Cream Cheesecake Dip

I call this Cheesecake Dip because it is not super sweet, but more tangy like a cheesecake thanks to the Oikos Vanilla Greek Yogurt. I love the tang in Greek yogurt so I knew it would be the perfect ingredient for this dip to prevent it from getting overly sweet.  Have you ever had Oreo cheesecake? It is seriously the best and this dip tastes just like the batter for that!

Cookies and Cream Cheesecake Dip

I am having a party this weekend with some girlfriends and while I would love to cook from scratch and amazing spread, I just have so much going on during this time of the year so I am going to make it easy on myself and simplify the menu. I am serving this Cookies and Cream Cheesecake Dip, cheese and Townhouse crackers, and I picked up a four pack of Market District Hummus.

Cookies and Cream Cheesecake DipI am going to make some meatballs as well in the slow cooker, and that’s it!I love that I can swing by Giant Eagle and get everything I need for entertaining. I love their Market District products which are a little more gourmet and definitely look fancier for a get together!     Cookies and Cream Cheesecake Dip

Are you entertaining this holiday season or are you staying in in your pjs? Maybe a little of both? Either way, make this Cookies and Cream Cheesecake Dip for some holiday snacking!

Prep Time 5 minutes
Servings 8 people

Ingredients

  • 1 8 ounce package of cream cheese
  • 2 single serve containers of Oikos Greek Vanilla Yogurt or about 10 oz.
  • 2 tsp. vanilla

Instructions

  1. In the bowl of a food processor, add the cream cheese, yogurt, vanilla, and 1/4 cup of the powdered sugar.
  2. Blend until smooth. Taste and if you would like it sweeter, add more sugar until it is your desired sweetness.
  3. Pour mixture into a mixing bowl. Cover and chill for 2-4 hours.

  4. Right before serving, pulse the Oreos in your food processor until small chunks remain.

  5. Fold Oreos into the cream cheese mixture and save some for garnish.

  6. Serve with graham crackers, more Oreos, vanilla wafers, etc.

Save this recipe for later. Pin It!

Oreos remind me of my childhood. We always had them in the house. This looks like a great idea for my daughter and I to make together to bring them back into my life 🙂

Looking delicious. I’ve never tried Oreo cheesecake, but I do love cheesecake. ^_^ The tang from the yogurt might make it better and not too sweet when you dip a cookie into it.

Yes the tang from the yogurt is perfect! I hate when sweet dips are too sweet and you can’t find anything good to dip into it!

Exactly. Especially the sweet dips. Even people like me, who like sweets, can get that awful sweet overload feeling at the back of your mouth (do you know that feeling? Usually happens with frosting).
