Halloween decorating doesn’t have to mean spending an entire weekend covering every inch of your house in fake cobwebs and plastic skeletons. In fact, the easiest way to make your home look completely transformed might be to go bigger, smarter and more electronic.
The latest Halloween decorations are getting seriously oversized, with giant animatronics, app-controlled skeletons, animated monsters, outdoor projectors, fog machines and massive inflatables that can turn an otherwise normal house into something that looks like it belongs in a Halloween movie.
Here are some of the coolest big Halloween decorations to consider this year.
1. The 12-Foot Giant Skeleton
The giant skeleton is basically the unofficial mascot of modern Halloween decorating at this point, and the 12-foot Skelly is still one of the easiest ways to completely change the look of your front yard.

If 12 feet sounds reasonable, perhaps you need to reconsider your definition of reasonable.
The 15-foot Watcher is a giant talking, lighted skeleton that towers over the yard while holding its own skull above its body. Its height alone makes it the kind of Halloween decoration that changes the entire silhouette of a house.
It’s less “I decorated for Halloween” and more “something has happened at this property.”
3. Turn Your House Into a Haunted Projection

The 8-foot Perilous Plant Monster looks like some kind of evil botanical experiment that escaped from the woods. It has three heads, LED-lit eyes and mouths, sound effects and motion-triggered head movement.
It’s particularly good for an older property with large trees, gardens or overgrown landscaping because you can make the monster look like it actually belongs there.
7. Make the Yard Look Like a Giant Spider Moved In
A giant spider web is another classic that becomes dramatically more effective when you scale it up.
