Marinated T- Bone Steaks with Garlic and Herb Aioli

Ingredients

  • For the marinade:
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp. prepared steak sauce any kind you like
  • 1 tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp. balsamic vinegar
  • 2 large Market District Certified Angus Beef T-Bones about 1 inch thick
  • For the aioli:
  • 2 cloves of garlic minced
  • 3 tbsp. Hellmann's Mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tbsp. of chopped fresh herbs I used basil, parsley, and rosemary

Instructions

  1. Mix all the marinade ingredients together and then place together with the steaks in sealed bag. Put in the fridge for half an hour before cooking.
  2. Meanwhile, in a small bowl, whisk together all the ingredients for the aioli until the oil is incorporated into the mayonnaise. Refrigerate until serving.
  3. When ready to cook, preheat grill to medium high heat. Remove steaks from the fridge. A room temperature steak cooks better.
  4. Remove steaks from marinade and place on the grill. Cook for 6 minutes on on side and 4 minutes on the other for just shy of medium well. Adjust cooking time to your desired temperature. You can use a meat thermometer to check.
  5. Remove from the grill and cover with foil. Let sit for at least 5-8 minutes to let the juices redistribute. Top with prepared aioli and enjoy!
