Ingredients
2 lbs.green beansfresh or frozen, steamed
1medium sized onionsliced
2clovesof garlicminced
2tbsp.olive oil
1 28 oz.can tomato sauce
1 15oz.can diced tomatoes
1-2tsp.salt
1/2-1tsp.pepper
1/2tsp.garlic powder
Instructions
In a skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil and onions. Cook onions 3-4 minutes, or until they start to become tender.
Add garlic and cook another minute.
Add green beans to the pan and stir well to combine. Add tomato sauce and diced tomatoes and seasonings.
Stir well and cover. Let cook for 30-40 minutes, or until green beans are very tender and the tomato sauce has cooked down and thickened. Stir every 10 minutes or so while cooking.
Before serving, check for seasonings and add more salt and pepper if desired.
