Old House to New Home's 10 Best Recipes of 2016!

Before I started blogging, I loved reading my favorite bloggers end of the year review posts. It was so convenient to see their best recipes all in one place! When I started blogging, I did my own Most Popular Recipe posts for 2014 and 2015 and it is so fun to look back and see what people loved. It is also painful to look at my early posts! The photos are terrible, the formatting is not good, and the writing leaves something to be desired. While I wish I had the time to go back and update all of those posts, it is just never going to happen! Unfortunately, some really good recipes are lost back there in the archives with really unappetizing photos!

I waffled back and worth on whether or not to do a round up post this year. With my impending return to my “real” job, I am really feeling extra lazy during this week between Christmas and New Years. I had decided to end the year with my Delicious and Creative Ways to Use Leftover Ham Round Up, but ultimately, I worried that I would regret skipping the most popular recipes post for this year! It is such a great way to look back and reflect on what worked and what didn’t for this year, so I am glad I decided to do it!

I am always surprised to see what ends up being most popular for the year. Mini Macaroni and Cheese Bites still continues to reign supreme here on the blog, but that recipe isn’t from this year. Same with my 21 Day Fix Round Ups! People love those! Now, without further ado, here are my post popular recipes that were published in 2016, in reverse order!

10. Slow Cooker White Chocolate Cinnamon Lattes

Who knew you could make lattes in the slow cooker? Well, you can, and they are delicious! The perfect cold weather drink!

1. Spicy Philly Cheesesteak Macaroni and Cheese

This recipe is absurdly popular on the blog this year and it definitely deserves the top spot! The spicy cheese sauce tastes SO good with the big chunks of steak, onions, and peppers! Definitely a favorite in our house!

Thank you so much for reading, pinning, and sharing this year! There were some rough moments when I really wanted to throw in the towel. So many algorithm changes from social media messed with my traffic and made me feel like I was failing, but I am glad I stuck with it! I can’t wait to see what this coming year brings! I have a lot of fun new collaborations coming in 2017 and have some delicious recipes planned! Happy New Year!
