One Room Challenge: Week 3 Basement Family Room and Playroom Progress

New here? The One Room Challenge is a six week blogging challenge where hundreds of bloggers transform one room in only six weeks time! It is challenging, frustrating, but so rewarding! I am so glad you are here checking out our progress this week! See our before pictures here!

So I missed last week. I really wanted to share a post last week but I honestly had nothing to show you. No progress, nothing. There was so much going on last week with Easter prep and other obligations that our room progress got put on the back burner! I am still feeling really behind, but we are making progress! The floor is halfway done and is looking great! We are using Allure Luxury Vinyl Planks in Strattford Oak. This is the same color that we used in our basement bathroom remodel and I love the beautiful gray tones in it. Since it is basically a windowless basement, I thought the gray would keep things light and bright.

The basement is such a mess that I can only show you this little sneak peak shot! There is seriously stuff EVERYWHERE.

I really need to get painting this week. I have flooring and columns to paint and if I get time, want to do the stairwell walls as well. We are taking a trip this weekend to NYC for my daughter’s birthday, so hopefully I can squeeze some work in on the weeknights before we leave. I really need to kick it into gear here!

This post is short and sweet but hey, its better than the nothing I posted last week!! Looking forward to sharing more with you net week! Don’t forget to check out all the other bloggers in the link up!
