Wow! Can you believe we are starting a new year already!? I can’t! What else I can’t believe is that this little blog has been around for almost a year! I started it in late January of 2013 on a whim one evening. I never could have imagined that so many of you would read what I had to say! I thought my page views would be by my mom, husband, and maybe a couple nice friends! But thousands of strangers, who are interested in my crafts and recipes, that is just crazy! I am so thankful for each and everyone of you. Whether you read one recipe and never come back, or you are an avid reader and you pin and share my recipes, thank you! Speaking of pinning and sharing, if you like what you see, please please please pin my posts, share them on facebook or stumble them on stumbleupon. With Facebook changing their rules this year, it is going to be harder and harder to get my posts out there, so I would really appreciate your help. Right now, Pinterest is my number 1 referrer of traffic and that is all thanks to all of you who pin my stuff. You wouldn’t believe what one pin at the right time can do!

The New Year is going to bring some new opportunities for Old House to New Home. I am really excited about continuing my contributor posts at PinkWhen.com and I have also received some sponsorship from some big companies, so look for those soon! I will also be continuing my Etsy shop (link in blue box at the upper right hand corner of the page) and adding new items as I find I am able to. We are also starting another bathroom reno (just a mini one this time) and I can’t wait to share that with you!

Overall, I just want to say THANK YOU for everything this year. Some people may think writing a blog is silly, but I absolutely love the creative outlet that it has added to my life. It has enriched my days and added something that I didn’t realize was missing.

On to the count down! Here are my top 10 recipe posts from this year according to my statistics!

10. Stir Fried Sweet Thai Chili Cauliflower

Stir Fried Sweet Thai Chili Cauliflower
Cauliflower seemed to be the foodie world’s prom queen this year. Cauliflower was everywhere. As pizza crust, rice substitute, as buffalo wings. My contribution to the cauliflower mania was this delicious Asian inspired side dish!

9. The Best Peanut Butter Cookies

The Best Peanut Butter Cookies! Made with a cake mix and only 3 other ingredients!
These cookies are popular for a reason. They are absurdly easy and they have the best peanut butter flavor and texture I have ever tasted in a peanut butter cookie!

8. Whole Wheat Mini Pancake Muffins

This is definitely one of my favorite recipes of the year. I don’t often repeat recipes, but this one gets made again and again in our house!

This one was a surprise actually. I made this quiche for a Cookbook Club and while I thought it was the best quiche I had ever had, I didn’t think the Internet would get too excited about it! I was wrong! This post went viral on Pinterest one day and its popularity skyrocketed!

6. Healthier Oven Baked Chicken Parmesan

healthy chicken parmesan
This recipe’s popularity is no surprise. This is the absolute best chicken parmesan you will have without the use of a deep fryer. We love this recipe in our home and it is one of Ryan’s most requested meals!
This one wasn’t a big surprise. A super easy dessert that starts with a cake mix and takes minutes to make! It tastes great and any cooking skill level can make it!
Yummmm this granola is so good! I found myself eating it out of the jar every time I walked through the kitchen. It tastes great on tangy Greek yogurt!
This post’s popularity has just come in the last week or so with another Pinterest Explosion. Must be everyone getting ready to drop some pounds in January! If you have never heard of the 21 Day Fix, it is a great diet and exercise program designed to show you healthy portion control.
Grilled Fish Tostadas, 21 Day Fix and Weight Watchers Recipe
This is a super simple, super healthy recipe that I love. This post was also one of the first pictures that I was really proud of! My photography has come a long way this year and my first posts are embarrassing! I hope to keep improving this year.

And the number 1 post from this year is Zucchini Tots!

Zucchini Tots Weight Watchers Recipe
The popularity of this post is almost unbelievable to me. The amount of page views supersedes any other on my blog by many many thousands! While this is a great recipe, it is certainly not my best picture, but it owes its popularity to Pinterest. This recipe is a go-to in our house and I actually have started making them slightly different, so I hope to remake and update the picture next Zucchini Season!
So there you have it! My Top 10 Recipes! Again, thank you for sharing this journey with me and I look forward to inviting you into my home and kitchen many more times in the New Year!
